Weight Loss Hypnotherapy- More Effective than Regular Dieting?
Everyone knows about how annoying dieting can be, especially if you have to follow strict eating programs. Although such programs do show numerous improvements, they are very hard to follow. However, new research shows that weight loss hypnotherapy may be more effective than regular dieting programs.
Normal Method
Regular dieting, when combined with various eating programs, provides results that you can see. However, to maintain these results over a long period of time is not easy. This is mainly because of the motivation required to stick to the programs.
Many eating programs require that people stick to foods that they would normally not eat because of their bland, unusual or unfamiliar tastes. Additionally, some eating programs contain food that is not easy to obtain and/or at a cheap price. Such programs also use nutritional supplements, which can be costly for many people.
Furthermore, people live very busy lives; they are not able to continue such diet and eating programs relatively easily. They may forget or lose track of their program. Students are also prone to giving up such programs. As exams and studies come closer and intensify, they do not have the time to follow many diet and eating programs.

However, when it comes to weight loss hypnotherapy, research shows that it is much more effective than regular dieting especially in the long run. This is because hypnotherapy helps keep you motivated. Furthermore, when dieting fails to produce the desired results, hypnotherapy can be used to eliminate or at least alleviate feelings of disappointment.
The research
Researchers at the University of Connecticut analyzed 18 scientific studies on weight loss hypnosis. At the end of the extensive analysis, it was shown that weight loss hypnosis helped the hypnosis group lose more weight than the regular dieting group. A research paper was published in the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology in 1996. In the research paper, it was proven that when hypnotherapy was used alongside regular dieting, patients lost more weight and kept it off for longer periods of time. This fact was attributed to the psychological benefits of hypnotherapy and how it kept users motivated.
It seems that weight loss hypnotherapy is proving to be more beneficial than regular dieting. Many studies even suggest better results when both are combined. However, one thing remains true; weight loss hypnotherapy is a crucial component of weight loss in the long-run. (Back To Articles Page)
